πŸŒ… Friends,

Today we’ll talk about a simple strategy to become a knowledgable, interesting, enriched reader πŸ“–; how to stop facebook distractions 🌐, and Forrest Gump’s superpower πŸ—οΈ.

🧠 Learning strategy: Lots of inputs, strong filters

Morgan Housel wrote an article that is 500 words short about his reading strategy. Start as many books as you can πŸ“š , quickly eliminate things that you don’t find interesting πŸ“˜ . If you start a lot of books, at least one will hook you long enough to read it, and in a couple of years, you’ll have read more books than you thought you ever will, without feeling bad when you set a book aside.

While this is true for books, it is true for all other mediums as well. Online courses, Educational youtube videos, podcast episodes, and articles.

❀️ My favorite things

The conflict between these two – most books don’t need to be read to the end, but some books can change your life – means you need two things to get a lot out of reading: Lots of inputs and a strong filter. (Morgan Housel)
